June 2nd - Day 107 (Shunt Operation)

Brian's doctors determined they would like to place the shunt after all. The operation will be tomorrow (Thursday 6/3). TBD on time.

Please pray with us that this is exactly what he needs to make progress in rehab toward emerging to full consciousness. Pray for a safe, quick procedure, guide the doctor's / surgeon's hands. Let there be no complications. Let this be God's display of his perfect timing on this long road to recovery. Let it be long only to result in FULL restoration. Keep me patient & trusting in the waiting. I pray these things in Jesus' name, amen.

I am simply all out of words today. So I thought I might share today's devotional (from 'Streams in the Desert') as it spoke to my heart & soul today:

  3. Lauren, You have the strongest spirit. Through your writing I can tell that God is listening to your prayers and working hard to heal Brian so that he has a full recovery. I truly believe God is there every step of the way and guiding the doctors and surgeons to take the best care of Brian. I know going back to surgery is probably not what you wanted to hear, but if it is more beneficial to him in the long run then you will get through this hurdle. It sounds like you have a great support system and a heart of gold. I am praying so hard for you guys and am looking forward to the day where I read that he has recovered to the Brian you know and love!

  5. My name is Rhuann Grecco and I have been following you and Brian's journey . I will pray fiercely <3 Your faith has touched my soul and I can't wait for Brian's progress report. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could give you the biggest hug, dry your tears or do more. For now, I will pray to our merciful God that he blanket the operating room with his healing powers and extend his mercy throughout the minds and finger tips of the surgeons and their staff xoxoxox
