NEW FUNDRAISER INITIAVE: Brian's Journey to NeuroSolutions in Austin, TX
Big news! Brian has been accepted into Dr. Brandon Crawford's clinic, NeuroSolutions, in Austin, Texas. He wants Brian for a minimum of two weeks to begin treatment, so we will be making the trip down this spring (late March).
We have appreciated all of the continued financial support that has helped us to make Brian's recovery as comfortable and as efficient as possible. I've used funds to purchase and renovate a beautiful, ADA / accessible home, obtain state of the art equipment to make his care easier and functional, bio-hacking devices to aid in his day-to-day healing, insurance on the handicap van, and to 'keep the lights on' since I am still unable to work or be reliable enough to obtain a job. Arguably the greatest gift of all is the opportunity to stay by Brian's side and continue to search for solutions to help him heal and emerge so we can have him back fully. Thank you *all* for making it possible. I don't think I will ever had adequate words of gratitude.
With that said, I started a new GoFundMe fundraiser initiative since the treatment costs and traveling with our nursing staff down south will add up very quickly. I try my best to always be transparent about what we use the funds for so that you all know how you are helping and what it could mean for Brian in the long run.
Getting Brian into the care of Dr. Crawford and his team has been a goal of mine for almost two years and I am so excited (and nervous), but ready to finally give this a go and leave no stone unturned. If you're curious as to what their clinic does, I will share some links below so you can see the remarkable progress people have made due to their treatments and relentless pursuit of recovery for brain injuries. These are the folks that refuse to give up hope and continue to push past the status quo. They believe Brian is in there and want to help get him out. These are our people, so we are very lucky to have this opportunity.
