Urgent Prayer Requests
We spent 25 hours waiting in the ER for Brian to get admitted for long term EEG monitoring.
While there, overnight Brian's episodes worsened. He's either sleeping or having a severe episode (muscle tightening, shaking, hot/red skin, elevated heart rate and respiratory rate, elevated blood pressure). Id say they happen about every 20-30 minutes now.
I called everyone I could think of - the current hospital case workers, medical directors, charge nurses. His previous hospital doctors, his rehab hospital. I fought to get him admitted or moved all night and day while I watched him suffer.
We finally got him in the room, after lots of tears and anger and lost sleep. He's currently getting the EEG probes placed as I type this.
I'm exhausted and scared. And I'd like to recruit our army of people to lift Brian up in prayer over the next 24 hours. People covering him throughout every hour of night and day for a full day. I'm asking for 24 people to cover each hour so we can redeem these horrendous past 24hrs.

ReplyDeleteHey Lauren, I've been following your story and Brian's recovery. I don't exactly know if there is a right or wrong way to pray but I just prayed hard for a miraculous recovery for Brain. I also prayed for you and Brian to be able to live the life together you both so deserve bc there are not many couples like you two. I believe you guys have something so rare and special. He is so incredibly lucky to have you and I hope that one day he can read everything you've put out there. ❤

ReplyDeleteI've been retired for almost 11 years from ISP. In 1993 while parked on the Ryan, exit to 51st street a pickup truck struck my squad pushing the left rear into the right front. I was cut out by CFD. Since then two other troopers have been struck in a similar manner and both burned to death.
ReplyDeleteI've wondered to this day why I survived. So needless to say when Brian was hit it hit home. I've contributed on the gofundme and will continue to, I appreciate your strength and faith Lauren. Your a remarkable women. I know God didn't promise us a pain free life. But he doesn't give us something that we can't handle. I'm looking forward to meeting you and Brian.
